Custom framing ensures framing which is exactly to your specifications. Our job is to assist in designing a frame  which shows your artwork to its best advantage.

It is necessary to preserve and protect your valued art  from environmental damage. Original artwork is protected from contact with  acids by the use of acid free materials. Your art is then framed in such a manner that it is easily removed from the frame without any damage.

Options for readily available prints with a  primarily decorative value:

Canvas Transfer

Your canvas transfer is produced by stripping the paper backing from  the print and permanently mounting the image onto quality canvas. The canvas is then enhanced with brushstrokes which follow the lines drawn by the original artist. Other effects such as crackling and aging can also be applied. The end result is that your art looks like the original canvas and is framed in the same manner without any need for glass.

Lacquer Boxes

For your oversize poster, a lacquer box provides a dramatic and effective way of framing. Although we would not suggest framing any original art in  this manner, lacquer boxes are a wonderful, reasonably priced option.

Your poster is permanently mounted on a wooden box, which is then given multi-stage coatings of lacquer that serve to protect and emphasize the  art. The lacquer boxes come in a variety of edgings and finishes. Most popular are the pure black lacquer edge and the wood-like bull-nose finish. Lacquer boxes are available in a variety of shapes besides the traditional rectangle.

Colorplak

Our most reasonably priced framing option is often the colorplak. Here, the artwork is permanently mounted and laminated on hardboard. There is a choice of 30 different  borders and finishes which make this method complete in itself without need for further framing. If no border is chosen, the piece can be framed like a regular piece of art, with no need for glass as the laminate is non-glare.

One of our most creative services is the shadow box.  This is designed  to hold three-dimensional items. Any of your treasured items can become part of a wonderful, memorable display. Mirrors can be installed to show the items from any angle. The shadow box can also be left open should you wish to touch the items and experience their immediate impact.
