SECURE PICTURE HANGING

Restaurants, nursing homes and other situations may require a security hanging system to prevent the artwork from being removed from the wall.  We have available a number of security hanging kits to prevent theft of artwork and other unauthorized removal. We also have earthquake security hangers to keep artwork secure.

This security hanging system - which is the artist's choice of systems - comes with a wrench which allows the bottom screw to be turned in either the lock or unlock position.

Additional bottom T-screw and plate:  $1.95 each

An additional T-screw for the bottom of the frame is recommended for pieces 36" X 48" or larger.

It is very important that your picture is secure on the wall.  For most purposes, a regular hook which is complimentary with all our framed pieces, is sufficient to hold your artwork securely in place.

For those of us living in or near earthquake zones, it may be prudent to use a specially designed hook which allows the picture to move with any vibrations, while still remaining affixed to the wall. 

Safety hanging system              

For objects which need to be put on a wall, we have developed our own "hanging" system.  A wooden block with two sunken nails is attached to the object.  This is then pushed into the wall and holds the object firmly in place.

Most recently, we have introduced an innovative security system for use with Colorplak.  The colorplak is screwed into the wall top and bottom, and the screws are then covered with plastic caps which match the border color.  While this is not totally secure against theft, it provides security in the case of earthquakes by preventing the piece from falling off the wall.
