Having completed her studies Annora Spence worked as a freelance artist and designer. She has concentrated on her painting career since 1990 and has enjoyed great success with her shows in London, the Midlands and abroad. Her prints, first begun in 1994, are worked in collaboration with the highly acclaimed Advanced Graphics studio. So far each edition has sold out in record time.

In 1991 she was sponsored to work in Malaysia for a theatre company; teaching students to design stage sets and scenery. She travels regularly to the Far East and India taking photographs and sketching ideas for her next paintings and designs. Her most recent London shows have included venues such as Thackery Rankin Gallery, Rebecca Hossack Gallery and The Bruton Street Gallery. During 1995 she took part in a mixed show of painters and print makers at CCA Selfridges and her painting show at CCA Bath was a virtual sell out.

Annora Spence's work is always guaranteed to be filled with humour and her own brand of quirkiness and she says of her own work "my aim is to explore the relationships between the often eccentric characters, placed in situations that are comic and sometimes near impossible."
