BRUSHSTROKE GELNow available for the first time, our one-step texturizing gel is ideal for posters, prints and photographs. This is the brushstroke gel used by professionals in the industry. It eliminates the need for glass to protect your art.
Art & Framing Gel Properties: The gel is a water-soluble acrylic polymer that is easy to apply. It cleans up with soap and water. The gel contains a UV inhibitor which helps protect the art from yellowing, fading, and light damage. The brushstroke gel comes in either a medium gloss or a matte finish for enhanced brush stroke definition. Once the print or photograph has been mounted, clear acrylic gel brushstrokes are applied with an acrylic brush to give the work extra texture and a three-dimensional feel. The gel helps recreate the brush marks found on traditional oil paintings. You control the look you wish to achieve by deciding on the number of gel coats and the fineness of the brushstrokes used to add detail.

Some of our customers have added glitter, sand and food dyes to change the effect of the gel. If you do mix in your own ingredients, we suggest you try mixing a small amount and testing the effect on some scrap material before applying to your artwork.
